Mental health is more than the absence of symptoms. 

 

Reducing specific symptoms is an important goal of psychiatric treatment, and I will work with you to achieve this using psychotherapy and/or medication.

At the same time, mental health is more than the absence of symptoms. Beyond symptom reduction, treatment can help with other goals that are no less important but less easily measurable, such as:

building a life that is meaningful and brings you joy,

overcoming “stuck-ness” in favor of a sense of vitality and freedom,

experiencing trust, emotional intimacy, and fulfillment in relationships,

and feeling authentic and grounded in oneself.

My goal is to work with you to alleviate your current emotional distress and enhance your mental and emotional well-being for the long term by taking a comprehensive and holistic approach that includes devoting the time and attention needed to create the lasting, meaningful changes you seek.
